It’s a great adventure to invite you to a four days Arts Solidaires Art vacation workshop in Brittany. Come let’s explore, experience and paint beautiful places in Brittany both indoors and outdoors. This is a four (4) days watercolor workshop spread across beautiful places in Brittany. Everything is well planned and organized by Art Solidaires Association to help us have the best experience. 

 

This workshop is packed with daily activities to help you understand more about watercolor whiles enjoying incredible sceneries in Brittany.  

Furthermore, we will have the chance to get to know more about the people and their beautiful environment as there will be interesting places to learn and also capture your experience in watercolor. 

We will do a lot of sketches by using various techniques and methods, as well as paint both indoors and plein air. 

These four (4) days will be full of lessons in watercolors, with a start of introduction to watercolor, some techniques in watercolor etc, and also get to know more about this phenomenal land through watercolor!

Tools and Materials (Both indoors and plein air) 

Watercolor paper - 300 gram Cold Press or Rough
Watercolor Sketch Pad (Block) 300 gram Cold Press or Rough  
Brushes - Different sizes and shapes 
Watercolor Paint Set 
Watercolor Bottle 
Watercolor Container 
Small Portable Folding Chair/Stool  
Small Portable Easel 
Small Board or Hard Card
Masking tape 
Pens and Pencils 
Hat or Cap
Sun Glasses 
2 Small towels 

Learning Activities: 

Day1    INTRODUCTION TO WATERCOLOR;                                      

Objective; Student shall learn what watercolor is all about. The tools and materials for watercolor and some basic techniques in watercolor. (Indoors) 

 

Day 2   PAINTING SIMPLE SHAPES AND OBJECTS IN WATERCOLOR;                           Objective: Student shall learn how to paint complicated objects in simple shapes. -Learning on location (Plein air)                                                    
                                                            
Day 3   

FAST MINIATURE PAINTINGS  SIGHT SEEING AND PHOTO TAKING                 Objective: Students shall learn to complete quick small size paintings on location and also how to work from a reference photo (Plein air). 
FIGURES IN WATERCOLOR LANDSCAPES        

Objective: Students shall learn how to incorporate operate figures in landscapes. Learning on location (Plein air).

                                                                                                                
Day 4   TIE-UP                                                        

Objective: Students shall learn to put everything learnt from the beginning of the workshop to complete half size 38 x 56 cm or  full size 56 x 76 cm painting on opened subject of their choice based on their experience in Brittany theme concepts.
